Full Sutton Airfield is only a few miles East of the historic City of York. The fantastic rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, beloved of artist David Hockney, and the Yorkshire coastline including Flamborough Head, are all within an hour's flying time.
Arriving by Road
From Stamford Bridge, head for Bridlington on the A166. After about 1 1/2 miles turn right for Full Sutton village and prison, Full Sutton Ind Est and Pocklington.
At the tee junction in the village turn left. After about half a mile turn right to Industrial Estate and Airfield. Beware savage speed hump near yellow oil drums. At the end of the road turn right (Butty van on your left). Road is very pot-holed.
Go under overhead gantry and turn left. Don't cut the corner there is lowered section of road.
Go straight on to the old runway (stop and look before you enter) and turn right. You will now see hangars. Turn left before first hangar and car park is round corner. Go to Portakabin with Airsports sign.
